The grand opening ceremony of China Cup International Regatta is held in Shenzhen Longcheer Yacht Club this evening. The openning program is Sand Painting, which shows our dream of the mystery ocean, and we can realize the wonderful sailing and marine elements. Meanwhile, there are solemn flag-raising ceremony and cheering squad dancing show.

     One of the hightlights of tonight is the special appreance of Yin Jian, who’s got 44th gold medal in the current Beijing Olympic Games. The sailingboat slowly brings her alongshore, and then she steps on the stage with the applause of all the audiences.

     During the opening days, more than hundreds of athletes from over 20 countries include the internationally well-known crews such as the former champion Quantum Racing fleet, former Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club Chairman Pand Hui who is the Asian sailing leader, Japanese KARASU Team, and the American Cup’s crew, etc gather in Daya Bay. We can find series of brilliant visual feast with sailing elements and the sailboats romanced under the colorful lights creates the wonderful pictures of the teams in their blooming.
     The wonderful song the children choir singing inspires the sailors to push forward in the next few days. 
     The most exciting moment is the prize given ceremony. The champion of today’s passage race is Koufu Team. The second price winner is the Normar Team, HongKong Rampage Team won third place.
