Beneteau First 40.7
www.beneteau.com
For last year’s regatta, our investment included the purchase of ten of one of the world’s most popular yachts, the Beneteau First 40.7 to allow teams to compete in a single class event.
The move was praised by competitors and media alike as a demonstration of our ambition in creating the perfect yachting environment and we will continue to buy more 40.7s in the coming years.
As our supplier, Simpson Marine says: "Bénéteau First is a range of high-performance yachts that combines serious racing features with spacious accommodation." "The First 40.7 is the most successful 40 footer of its time with more than 700 units built to date. This best seller is equally at home racing at high level (winner of Rolex Sydney-Hobart race) or out on a family cruise."
In the future
To further develop the China Cup, the organizers will invest 200-300 million RMB (US14m-US21m) over the next three years in building new facilities, personnel training and industry expansion, as well as providing a youth training base to raise the nautical awareness and sporting spirit of future generations.
